  1. 1 pint malt vinegar
  2. 3 tbs anchovy sauce
  3. 1/2 gill Indian soy
  4. 1 lemon
  5. 1 teaspoonful cayenne
  6. 1 teaspoonful ground cloves
  7. 2 cloves garlic
  1. Peel the lemon thinly and squeeze out the juice. Chop the garlic. Put the lemon rind, juice, garlic, and all the other ingredients into pan, boil and simmer gently for 1/2 hour. Strain and leave to cool. Bottle and cork.
