  1. 1 lb stoned red cherries
  2. 1 lb raspberries
  3. 1 lb strawberries
  4. 1 lb currants
  5. 3 lbs sugar
  1. Wash, drain and stone cherries. Look over raspberries carefully and place in wire basket to wash and drain. Wash drain and pick strawberries and wash and stalk currants. Weigh all fruits after cleaning. Place fruits in layers with sugar in a pan and let stand to draw out juice, then boil slowly until cherries are tender--about 12 minutes. Remove fruit with skimmer and cook down the syrup until thick, skimming thoroughly. Add fruit, reheat to boiling point and pour into hot, steriziled jars, adjust covers, partially seal, and sterilize in boiling water -- 10 minutes. Seal and test for leaks.
