Ingredients
  1. Ripe juicy pears
  2. Sugar
Instructions
  1. Peel, core, and halve the fruit. Allow 1 1/2 lbs sugar to each pound of fruit. Stir the pears in very little water till they become tender. Turn them into pan, add the sugar (warmed) stir till dissolved, and boil till syrup sets quickly when tested.
