  1. 1 lb dried peaches
  2. 3 pints water
  3. 3 lbs sugar
  1. Cut the peaches into four, wash them and soak for 24 hours in 3 pints of cold water. Remove fruit, and put water in pan, add sugar and boil slowly till it has dissolved, then add the peaches. Continue boiling for about 1 hour, or until the fruit becomes transparent. Pour into warm jars and cover.
