Ingredients
  1. Yolks of 2 eggs
  2. 1 gill milk
  3. 1/2 gill vinegar
  4. 1/2 gill salad oil
  5. Salt
  6. 1 tablespoonful brown sugar
  7. Pepper
  8. 1 teaspoonful mustard mixed with little vinegar
Instructions
  1. Beat up well the yolks of eggs, add milk and stir well, then add alternately vinegar and salad oil, a little at a time as possible. Stir in the sugar, pepper, salt and mixed mustard. Beat all together well, pour in double saucepan, and stir until the mixture thickens. Do not let it boil. Remove from fire, stir well, let cool, bottle and cover.
Notes
  1. a gill is equal to a quarter of a pint.
