  1. 1/2 peck of cucumbers
  2. 8 large white onions
  3. 2 oz mustard
  4. 1 oz red pepper
  5. vinegar
  6. salt
  1. Peel and slice cucumbers and onions, put in large bowl and sprinkle well with salt. Let stand for 24 hours. Drain off liquid, cover with weak vinegar, and let stand for 3 days. Then drain, add seasonings, and cover with vinegar. Fill jars.
