  1. 6 cups chicken broth
  2. 4 or 5 ripe or more (depends on size) avocados, peeled and pitted
  3. --1 or two extra for garishing, sliced
  4. 6 large cloves of garlic, minced
  5. 1 1/2 tablespoons quality curry powder
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  8. About 1/2 cup sour cream
  1. 2 cups crab meat, chopped or imitation crab
  2. Butter, about 1/3 cup, mas o menos
  3. Garlic, about 4 large cloves, minced
  1. In a blender, blend together the broth and avocados until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a soup pot, and slightly sauté garlic and curry powder. While slowly stirring add avocado broth and blend. Whisk in sour cream and heat through. This soup is also good cold--without the crab topping.
  3. Optional: My husband doesn't like the crab with this, but I do!
  4. Sauté crab meat in melted butter and garlic until warm, or cooked thru, depending on the meat--imitation crab is already cooked.
  5. Garnish soup with avocado slices and crab meat.
